The benefits for south dundas are that the school is working hard to support the next generation of learners so that they are better equipped with skills and resources to contribute to the work force here when they finish their schooling. St Mary/ St Cecilia provides the foundations for every career path for learners. The school works hard to give back to the south dundas community through charity initiatives and volunteering that stays local.
St Mary/ St Cecilia relies on donations and programs like the 100 Women who care because the Ministry of Education does not provide funding for all of the "extras" that support education - such as creating spaces to promote enriching learning like sensory rooms or outdoor play. School budgets are extremely limited and they cover only basic necessities for learning. The staff is very keen to provide experiences for students that are experiential learning or that support diverse learners but they need the resources to be able to follow through and make sure everyone has the equal opportunity to learn.
