Dundas County Hospice will create an accessible outdoor patio at the rear of our garage to support our Men’s Shed grief program—a space designed specifically for men who may not seek traditional grief support. This welcoming, barrier-free environment will allow participants to connect side-by-side, work with their hands, and build relationships in a way that feels natural. The project will expand program capacity, improve accessibility, and help reduce isolation for men navigating grief in our community.
This project will ensure that more residents of South Dundas—especially men navigating grief—have a place to go where they feel comfortable, understood, and supported. By creating an accessible outdoor space for connection and shared activity, we are reducing isolation, strengthening mental well-being, and helping people move through grief together, rather than alone.
We wish everyone knew that Dundas County Hospice is built by this community, for this community. Our services are free, but they are only possible because of local support—and every dollar stays right here, helping your neighbours when they need it most.
